JSCD in collaboration with UNICEF implemented the Community Action Process (CAP) in 17 Union Councils of District Rajanpur. Through CAP, JSCD penetrated the community at grass-roots level and disseminated information on indicators of maternal health, child health and hygiene. The community was empowered to identify and address the issues at hand, plan and develop healthy options and mobilize the resources at hand for progress and sustainable development. JSCD fostered co-operation among policy makers, local and state government officials, religious leaders and local community. Moreover, local institutions were strengthened to provide maternal and child health services.
